We have scheduled a “special” meeting on Sunday, May 31 from 3-5pm to start the discussion of our options for the 2020 October Area Assembly and August Preassemblies..
NO decisions will be made at this meeting as to how these events will be held. I want to assure everyone, that is not the intent of this meeting. 
The intent of the meeting is to start the discussion of our options (face -to-face, hybrid, zoom, etc.) and how to best hold these 2020 events during the pandemic. We will share with everyone in the meeting a draft questionnaire and gather your thoughts and input. The reason for starting the conversation prior to the July quarterly is it generally takes 2-3 months for information to flow between groups, districts and area. Due to the nature of the Assembly and preassembly events, decisions will likely need to be made in July (for Preassemblies) and August (for Assembly). If we wait until the Area Quarterly on July 11th to start discussion there will be very little time to gather input from groups and districts. The hope is ALL DCMs/Alt DCMs will share the information discussed and the finalized questionnaire with their districts so that we can get as much feedback as possible before any decisions are made in regard to these events. 
This meeting is open to all interested in attending.
